  Lucky Dube died on 18 October 2007 at the age of 43. He never died in a car accident. Lucky Dube was   murdered . According to South African police, Dube was killed in Rosettenville, a suburb of Johannesburg moments after he dropped two of his children at their uncle’s house. On his way from dropping his children off, he was attacked by carjackers who were apparently after the Chrysler 300c he was driving. Police reports said Dube was shot dead by the carjackers when they attempted to seize his car.
